DKD-K-33901

TrigasFI GmbH is DKD accredited by PTB to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025

TrigasFI GmbH carries the status of a DKD accredited FLOW Meter Calibration Laboratory according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.

The DKD (Deutscher Kalibrierdienst) program is administered in Germany by the PTB (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt) and it is equivalent to the NVLAP program in the USA, the COFRAC program in France and the UKAS program in the United Kingdom among others.

Our DKD Accreditation number for Calibration of Liquid Flowmeters is DKD-K-33901. Copy of our accreditation certificate is available by clicking on the link below.

This accreditation is a further manifestation of our commitment to quality and yet another step forward in our never ending quest to provide our customers with the best service possible.
We thank you for your confidence and we are looking forward to continuing servicing all your FLOW MEASUREMENT and CALIBRATION needs.

Deutscher Kalibrierdienst

The PTB (Physikalisch- Technische Bundesanstalt, German National Standards Organization) is not in a position alone to cover the demand for calibrations in industry and the testing sector. This is why the Deutscher Kalibrierdienst (DKD, German Calibration Service) was founded in 1977 as a joint task of state and industry. It effectively supplements the existing state (PTB) verification system which serves above all the purposes of consumer protection.
The PTB remains responsible for calibrations at the highest level, while the extensive calibration work for industry is carried out by competent laboratories of the Industry sector and of public institutions, whose technical competence has been formally confirmed by the DKD accreditation body on the basis of a rigorous assessment.

Equivalence of measurement results

To assure the reliability measurement results, the measuring instruments and/or standards must be checked against the national standard for the respective measured quantity. This can be made by direct comparison with the national standard or by comparison with other standards which in turn have been linked up with the national standard by one or more steps within an unbroken chain of calibrations. This process is called traceability to the national standards.
A national standard is the most accurate realization of the respective unit of the International System of Units (SI) available in a specific country. In Germany, the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) is responsible for the realization and maintenance of such standards.
To guarantee international equivalence of measurement results, the PTB closely cooperates with the national metrology institutes of other countries.

International recognition, European cooperation

To attain the objective of recognition of the DKD calibration certificates across borders, the DKD cooperates with other European accreditation bodies in the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA). At present, the calibration services of 25 European countries are members of the EA.
Seventeen of these calibration services, including the DKD, have concluded a multilateral agreement on the mutual recognition of their calibration certificates. At the moment, the signatories in the field of the calibration services are the accreditation bodies in:

Austria (BMwA), Belgium (BKO/OBE), the Czech Republic (CAI), Denmark (DANAK), Finland (FINAS), France (COFRAC), Germany (DKD), Ireland (NAB), Italy (SIT), the Netherlands (RvA), Norway (NA), Portugal (IPQ), Slovakia (SNAS), Spain (ENAC), Sweden (SWEDAC), Switzerland (SAS) and the United Kingdom (UKAS).

In addition, corresponding agreements have been concluded with the accreditation bodies of:
Australia (NATA), Brasil (INMETRO), Hong Kong (HKAS), New Zealand (IANZ), Singapore (SAC), South Africa (SANAS) and USA (A2LA).

This means that TrigasFI is now able to offer calibrations certified to European standards with full equivalency to and mutual recognition by institutions in many countries around Europe and the World.

Mutual recognition is based on a harmonization of the accreditation criteria and procedures, on confidence-building activities and, in particular, on an extensive and permanent program of comparison measurements carried out between accredited laboratories. The criteria are in accordance to the European standards for calibration and testing laboratories and their assessment and accreditation (EN ISO/IEC 17025 and EN 45 000 series).
