The DAkkS
(Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle) is
equivalent to other international programs such as NVLAP
the USA, COFRAC
in France, UKAS
in the UK, etc.

known as ISO/IEC Guide 25, ISO/IEC 17025 was
initially issued in 2000 and has been updated
in 2005.
- There are many commonalities with ISO 9000
standard, but ISO 17025 adds the concept of
competence to the equation. It applies directly
to organizations that produce testing and calibration
results.
