Accreditation and Quality – the first Flow Laboratory to be accredited for both liquid and gas flow measurement in Europe.
Our high standards and extensive knowhow in the field of Flow Measurement are obvious from the first glance: Europe-wide, we were the first Calibration Laboratory to be accredited by the German Accreditation authority DAkkS for both Liquid and Gas Flow Calibrations and still the only one that specializes exclusively in Flow.
We are not a “jack of all trades”, we are dedicated to FLOW and it shows. Our competence is the result of our more than 30 years of dedication to advancing the Flow Measurement and Calibration state of the art. Furthermore, it is guaranteed by our ISO 9001 TÜV certification and DAkkS accreditation according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.
The DAkkS (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle) is equivalent to other international programs such as NVLAP the USA, COFRAC in France, UKAS in the UK, etc.

Accreditation and Quality – our Certificate
Certifications ISO9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 and their importance for Accreditation and Quality:
- ISO/IEC 17025 is the main standard for certifying the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. Originally known as ISO/IEC Guide 25, ISO/IEC 17025 was initially issued in 2000 and has been been evolving ever since.
- There are many commonalities with the ISO 9001 standard, but ISO 17025 adds the concept of competence to the equation. It applies directly to organizations that produce testing and calibration results. Accreditation and quality for your flow calibrations.
Our DAkkS ISO 17025 accreditation has been expanded:

Expanding our Flow Ranges
Expanded flow range capability allows TrigasFI to once again redefine the state of the art in Flow Measurement and Calibration accuracy.
Implementation of new Algorithms and Measurement Techniques allow unprecedented accuracy, as low as 0.04% for liquid calibrations.
Construction of new calibrators makes it possible to perform calibrations with the same accuracy at liquid flowrates as low as 0.00005 l/min (0.05 ml/min ).
TrigasFI is now accredited for liquid calibrations over a range of 0.00005 to 5000 lpm, or 100.000.000 (100 million!) to 1.
Arguably the widest in the world.
Why are there surcharges for DAkkS calibrations?
It is very expensive to maintain our ISO 17025 accreditation. Auditors assigned by DAkkS, usually members of the German National Institute PTB spend many hours in our laboratory in regular intervals to thoroughly check the adequacy of our processes, the function and capability of our measuring equipment and calibrators and the competence of our personnel. And of course, our own personnel must prepare for and participate in these audits and implement the resulting changes and improvements afterwards.
This is the only way we can guarantee you reliable calibration, traceability, accreditation and quality to national and international standards. With the surcharge you get the proof of reliability and quality, for which we are known.
The target turnaround time for calibrations is five working days. Depending on workload, we are sometimes challenged to maintain adherence to this target, but since we know how important it is to avoid process interruptions, for emergencies we also offer a 24-hour service, and when the need is dire, even calibrate-while-you-wait service.
