Test benches and laboratories in automotive development increasingly require highly precise and reliable sensors. Turbine flow meters are often chosen for this because they provide fast response time, have no warm-up time requirements and can be used universally for oils, fuels and cooling media. Turbine flow meters offer the possibility of precise adaptation to the media used, so that they can measure precisely down to the lowest measuring range under a wide temperature/viscosity spectrum.
Precise measurement under changing climatic conditions?
We strive to take all environmental parameters into account during calibration. For example, if at all practical, we use the original media for our calibrations. Because flowmeters behave in oil differently than water, in helium different than propane. Temperature, pressure, viscosity – all of these have an effect on the measurement result. Describe your process conditions to us when you send in your instruments for calibration. Or simply fill out our calibration profile to obtain the most accurate calibration results.
DAkkS ISO 17025 accredited Calibrations
Throughout the industry, DAkkS calibrations are more and more frequently requested because they guarantee traceability to national and international standards. ISO/IEC 17025 is in principle the “book” for all calibration laboratories. There are many similarities with ISO 9000, but ISO 17025 is much more concrete and direct about procedures and standards and how they relate to the competence of a calibration laboratory.
We are DAkkS accredited not only for calibrations that we perform in our Neufahrn Lab, but for on-site calibrations as well, performed at your locations.

We calibrate regardless of the manufacturer
We are not tied to any flowmeter manufacturer. Our services and consultation is not subject to external influences.
And since most flowmeter manufacturers are our customers as well, many favor us with access to any software required for electronic adjustment of their flowmeters.
Would you like to know whether your calibration intervals are well chosen? – Ask about the additional “As-Found” calibration, with which we will confirm the condition of your device before the calibration. In this way you can sensibly adjust your calibration intervals.
High accuracy calibrations for turbine flow meters from all manufacturers
Let us know what is needed for your application. From simple calibration to complex UVC curves for precise measurement with fluctuating viscosities, calibration with precisely mixed or supplied media, depending on the accessibility of the electronics, also trimming and adjustment.
If the results are unsatisfactory, we take care of your turbine, from diagnosis to various repairs. If we determine that a bearing replacement is necessary, we can carry out this service work for you. We can also replace pickoffs and cables. And should we not be able to help, we would be happy to handle the repair with the manufacturer for you.

Supplier imposed lock-out in your Electronics?
Do you have locked LSV electronics that you cannot adjust? – No problem, with the specially developed TAXIS electronic boards, we can install a compatible replacement on request. Housing and connector configuration remain unchanged. And in the future you can have full access to your electronics and have them calibrated and adjusted at any partner laboratory.

Can’t do without your flow meters?
Then we come to you! Ask about our on-site calibrations. Trigas is certified to also carry out DAkkS calibrations on-site for flow measurements.
For critically important systems that cannot be removed from their location and sent the laboratory for calibration, TrigasFI technicians regularly visit the premises of automotive customers worldwide to carry out on-site calibrations.
With suitable preparation not only the measuring instrument itself but also complete measurement assembly can be calibrated, which allows the installation effects to be taken into account, resulting in even more accurate flow measurement results.
The TrigasFI calibration technicians work closely with your specialists to provide you with meaningful test data that ultimately result in better understanding of the performance of your equipment.
Our Calibration Ranges
For liquids we calibrate with our DAkkS accredited Displacer/Piston calibrators over a range from 0.00005 l/min (0.05 ml/min) up to 2000 l/min. With these primary, high precision flow standards we calibrate with an overall accuracy of 0.04 % of the measured value.
With our high-flow water loop we can calibrate at flows up to 5000 l/min.
For Gases, we offer DAkkS accredited flow calibration on our Sonic Nozzle test benches up to 20000 Nl/min. With two primary Bell Provers and Laminar Flow Element test benches we can calibrate as low as 0.1 Nml/min.
We calibrate not only with air, but also with many non-hazardous gases. Please contact our lab for details.
Our Service for Automotive Industry
In addition, we service and repair your instruments, if possible, directly at our premises or, if necessary, we handle repairs with the manufacturers for you, so that you receive your instruments back fully functional and calibrated.
If a repair is no longer economical, we will be happy to provide objective, non-partisan advise on a replacement and if you wish, we will also procure and independently calibrate the replacement equipment.
